Terms of Service

1. Who we are

QRGenrator (“the Service”) is operated by Symentic Tech (“we”, “us”). Contact: info@symentictech.com. By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old. If you're using the Service on behalf of a business, you confirm you're authorised to accept these terms for that business.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly at info@symentictech.com if you believe it's been compromised. You may close your account at any time from settings.

4. Your content

You keep all ownership of the QR codes you create, the links they encode, and any logos or images you upload (“Your Content”). We claim no rights in it.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating the Service — showing your codes back to you, rendering them, and letting you download them. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account. We will not use Your Content to train models, sell it, or share it with third parties.

You confirm that you have the right to use everything you upload, and that Your Content doesn't infringe anyone else's intellectual property, privacy or other rights.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• create codes pointing to malware, phishing pages, or any unlawful material;
• impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent where a code leads;
• infringe intellectual property, including uploading logos or trade marks you have no right to use;
• harass, defame, or distribute material that is obscene or unlawful;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users' accounts;
• place unreasonable load on the Service, scrape it at scale, or interfere with its operation for others;
• resell or redistribute the Service itself as your own product.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches this section, and where required will report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities.

Please understand: the codes we generate are static. The destination is encoded in the pattern and nothing routes through our servers, so once a code is printed or shared we cannot disable, redirect or recall it. You are solely responsible for what your codes point to.

6. Scanning and print reliability

We test designs against a QR decoder and warn you about combinations known to be unreliable. However, real-world scanning depends on print quality, materials, ink, size, lighting, surface curvature, distance and the scanning device — none of which we control.

You must test any code with real devices before committing to a print run or any production use. We do not warrant that any particular code will scan in any particular setting, and we are not responsible for reprint costs or losses arising from an untested code.

7. Availability and changes

The Service is provided free of charge. We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability, and we may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of it. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we'll give reasonable notice and a chance to export your data first.

Codes you have already downloaded will continue to work indefinitely, because they don't depend on us.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party infrastructure (including our database host) and may offer sign-in through Google. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms. We aren't responsible for third-party outages or for the content of any website a QR code links to.

9. Disclaimer

Except where these terms say otherwise, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you're a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:

• we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, or data;
• we are not liable for costs arising from codes that fail to scan in production, where those codes were not tested first;
• our total aggregate liability arising from the Service is limited to £100, reflecting that the Service is provided free of charge.

11. Indemnity

If you use the Service in the course of a business, you agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from Your Content or from your breach of these terms. This clause does not apply to consumers.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or if we're required to by law. On termination, your data is deleted in line with our privacy policy.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Where changes are material we'll give reasonable notice before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms; if you don't, please close your account.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you're a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK or EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring proceedings there.

15. General

If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a term isn't a waiver of it. These terms, with the privacy and cookie policies, are the entire agreement between us regarding the Service.
